Don’t want to not have anything to write, might go off course and talk about something not related,
1)Antonio spat on shylock, 2)Antonio calls him a dog, 3)Shakespeare made the play as a comedy; we see it as a tragedy (he makes Jewish discrimination a joke), 4)Jews are only money lenders, 5)language used to describe the Jews, 6)mocked, 7)Shakespeare wants to show victory over the Jews by the Christians.
Venetian hypocrisy
I think that quote B “I’ll have my bond, speak not against my bond” matches the picture because in the photo he looks calm but still holding his ground as he doesn’t look angry enough to say the other quote .
“You have among you purchased slave” He is showing that they are worse than him and to question him on his revenge is so hypocritical.
Shylock shows the justice system is corupt because He points out the fact that what he is doing isn’t nearly as bad As what they have been doing (purchasing slaves).although the cutting off flesh is similar because he is taking a piece of another human.he highlights there hipocrisy when pointing out that if the tables were turned the flesh would have already been taken. He also refers to the slaves being used as mules to carry and fetch objects simply because they have bought them, so like with his contract the same way the Christians have bought slaves and can do whatever with them shylock has put his money into Antonio so by Christian example he should have the right to treat him however he feels.
