This house believes that young people should be allowed to vote at 16,five reasons why I disagree with the statement:
the children are being put under pressure whilst going through their GCSE’s .At their age they are still to easily influenced and are lead the same way as their parents. Its a slippery slope but its like changing the age of being classed as an adult from 18 to 16 it would practically be going against what the politicians stand for as they feel our GCSE’s are important. but now actually want us to focus on a vote for their own sake instead of ours.
On the other hand at the age of 16 you are legally allowed to have sexual intercourse which in some cases means that whilst a teenager you will also be a parent if teens are able to look after and take care of an actual baby surely it’s enough proof of them being responsible and able at that age to make important decisions.
